The Memorial Glacier is a glacier in the Ōtākou / Otago region of the Te Waipounamu / South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand.

It has a latitude of -43.939583 and a longitude of  169.750778 and it’s status is: Official Assigned.

Name submitted by the Westland Chief Surveyor, October 1969, after research in connection with the revision of NZMS1 S88. Originally submitted by NZ Geological Survey in March 1962, name resubmitted to the Chief Surveyor by Mr Ray Slater of the New Zealand Alpine Club, and was supported by Photographs, NZ Alpine Club map, and descriptive notes. Name in local usage. So named because of a climbing accident on Mount Trent in 1937.

It’s geographical description is noted as: Small glacier on the lower South-east slopes of Mount Trent, 800m south-west of Mount Fraser.  Block VIII Ward Survey District.
