The Smyth Glacier is a glacier in the Ōtākou / Otago region of the Te Waipounamu / South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand.

It has a latitude of -43.959939 and a longitude of  169.596408 and it’s status is: Official Assigned.

Named to honour the finest living English climber of the modern school as the face of the glacier was considered unscalable.

It’s geographical description is noted as: Glacier in the headwaters of the Hunter River East Branch, west of Hunter Glacier in the Southern Alps/Kā Tiritiri o te Moana. Feature depicted on NZMS 177 S88.
