The Nansen Glacier is a glacier in the Te Tai Poutini / West Coast region of the Te Waipounamu / South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand.

It has a latitude of -43.440835 and a longitude of  170.461838 and it’s status is: Official Assigned.

Name submitted by the Canterbury Mountaineering Club. Named after Fridtjof Wedel-Jarlsberg Nansen (10 October 1861 – 13 May 1930), the Norwegian Arctic explorer, name joins those of other Arctic and Antarctic explorers nearby.

It’s geographical description is noted as: On western slopes of Main Divide between Takrouna and Alamein Peaks.  Waitangitaona Survey District..
