The Mercer Glacier is a glacier in the Ōtākou / Otago region of the Te Waipounamu / South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand.

It has a latitude of -44.383186 and a longitude of  168.589901 and it’s status is: Official Assigned.

Named after the late Captain J.C Mercer, who did a considerable amount of flying over the Southern Alps. The glacier was first traversed by A W McNaught, P F Olsen, C J Christie and J H Christie in Dec 1951.

It’s geographical description is noted as: Glacier South-west of ridge between Mounts Ionia and Athene.  Cascade & Forbeside Survey Districts.
