The Korako Glacier is a glacier in the Ōtākou / Otago region of the Te Waipounamu / South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand.

It has a latitude of -44.685786 and a longitude of  168.065998 and it’s status is: Official Assigned.

The name is that of an Otago chief, and was given by Dr L. Stewart when he led the first traverse of the glacier in 1936. Source: Reed, A.W. & Peter Dowling, Place Names of New Zealand, 2010.

It’s geographical description is noted as: Glacier falling from Mount Revelation and near Taiaroa Peak into Moraine Creek, a tributary of Hollyford River/Whakatipu Kā Tuka in the Darran Mountains.
