The Monk Glacier is a glacier in the Waitaha / Canterbury region of the Te Waipounamu / South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand.

It has a latitude of -43.668246 and a longitude of  170.280495 and it’s status is: Official Assigned.

Name is associated with other features in the region such as Abbot, Abbess, Monastery Peak, The Nuns Veil etc. Tentatively named Mitre Glacier in 1953 by Mrs M Davidson, but this was not accepted by the NZGB

It’s geographical description is noted as: The glacial feature immediately west of The Abbot (peak) on the Liebig Range.
