The Haupapa / Tasman Glacier is a glacier in the Waitaha / Canterbury region of the Te Waipounamu / South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand.

It has a latitude of -43.665306 and a longitude of  170.188806 and it’s status is: Official Altered.

The 1998 Treaty Settlement package for Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu included major alpine feature names (as well as other major geographical names) that were altered to dual names, eg Aoraki/Mount Cook, Mount Aspiring/Tititea, Fox Glacier/Te Moeka o Tuawe, Franz Josef Glacier/Kā Roimata o Hine Hukatere.  See http://www.linz.govt.nz/sites/default/files/docs/placenames/submission-reports/nzgb-proposal-report-alpine-names.pdf

It’s geographical description is noted as: A major alpine feature located within the Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park.
